In leadership, mentorship is often framed as essential—and it can be. But no one speaks about the most pivotal transition a leader makes: the moment she outgrows the mentor she once relied on.

This threshold marks the beginning of true sovereignty. It is the point at which external voices lose their primacy, and a woman steps fully into the role of being the strategist, architect, and authority of her own life.

Mentorship as a Temporary Structure

Mentors offer invaluable gifts: perspective, discipline, accountability, strategy. For a time, their guidance provides necessary structure. But mentorship, by nature, is meant to be temporary.
